Our look at Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets

The second film in the cinematic cash cow sees Hogwarts students Harry Potter and his friends Ron and Hermione try to uncover the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets. For kids, it probably will be like returning to a summer camp after a year's break. They will see old friends, meet some new ones, and they will be reminded of the magical appeal of a place far away from home. As for me, this all fuss and talk about Potter guy bugs me big time. Even with great appearance of Kenneth Branagh and great looking computer generated character Dobby (voiced by Toby Jones), a elf who attempts to help Harry in his quest doesn't help a lot in the fact that something is definitely being wrong with today's kids. Maybe they feel too outcasted or something but I doubt that any parent will be able to find something good in Potter mania except that it's better than hanging out and doing nothing. I still remember the time when the parents took us all to cinema and watched the movies with us. Not to mention Disney and his masterpieces. But what the heck. I am not the proper person for this - and I am sure that some 10 year old kid would blame me for saying bad things about their hero... But I seem to enjoy the role of bad guy these days.. :-)
